Chemical Peels

Skin Care and Non-Surgical Treatments

Healthy, smooth, glowing skin is one of the most universal aspects of beauty. Not all of us are born with the kind of skin that stands out naturally, but with proper care, most of us can achieve a youthful, healthy skin appearance that radiates beauty. And skin care can prolong the youthful attributes of your appearance to help you look years younger than your calendar age. And when your skin begins to show its age, rejuvenation techniques can help you turn back the clock to restore a more youthful appearance and produce healthier skin.

Acne Treatments

Acne treatments can combine many different types of skin care. From facials, prescription creams to laser treatment, we offer many options to precisely target your acne and reduce its long-term effects on your skin, including acne scars.

With modern medical and aesthetic techniques, we can resolve most acne problems. There is no need for teenagers to adults to develop acne scars. So if you have problems with acne, contact us and we will assist you on your acne treatment.

Chemical Peels

Chemical peels help your skin to look fresher by removing the outer layers of dead and damaged skin. They also stimulate your skin’s natural rejuvenation processes while providing your skin with essential nutrients it may not get through other methods.

We offer three main types of peels:

  • Glycolic Peels are very mild and use Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) to loosen dead skin cells and exfoliate the outer layers of damaged skin. Our esthetician performs these peels, which are great for a quick refreshing of your skin tone and to help maintain your youthful skin. You may experience minor discomfort. When finished, you may return to normal activities immediately.
  • Blue Peels use trichloroacetic acid, and the results can be inconsistent. Tricholoracetic acid burns on contact and sometimes results in scarring when used at the concentrations necessary to produce an effective result. As a result, Dr. Feagin and Dr. Owen often recommend safer and more effective treatment alternatives.
  • Phenol Peels, also called deep chemical peels, can provide significant improvement to deep facial wrinkles and sun damaged skin by removing several of the skin’s outer layers. They can also be used to treat facial blemishes, deep wrinkles, uneven pigmentation, and acne scars. These peels must be used with caution, but can be very effective for appropriate candidates.

During your consultation, we will evaluate your skin condition and concerns and recommend the appropriate skin peel for you.

BOTOX® Cosmetic

BOTOX® Cosmetic is an injectable treatment that improves the appearance of some types of wrinkles, creases, and involuntary scowls. It is not a universal treatment, but if your doctors know which areas BOTOX® works well for and what areas it does not help, then it can be a very effective method to help improve the appearance of your face.

Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers are natural or biocompatible materials that are injected to minimize the appearance of facial folds, wrinkles, and depressed scars. They are a very good treatment for giving a naturally youthful-looking appearance. They can also be used for lip augmentation to give you more luscious, attractive, and youthful-looking lips.

Why Feagin & Owen for Your Skin Rejuvenation Procedure

The recent advances in noninvasive cosmetic treatments have revolutionized the way we look at facial rejuvenation. Treatments like BOTOX® Cosmetic have grown tremendously in popularity because they give great results for many common effects of aging. However, these treatments are not miracles, and they do have limitations. These treatments are still just tools and depend on the skill of the surgeon to use them to maximum effectiveness. They also depend on the judgment of the surgeon as to whether they are an effective treatment for your condition.

Dr. Feagin and Dr. Owen are extensively trained and experienced in all types of skin care and surgical treatments of your face. They can explain the benefits and limitations of any of the reputable methods of improving your appearance.

Dr. Charles Feagin and Dr. William Owen are board-certified plastic surgeons with 60 years of combined experience helping people from Dothan, Alabama; Enterprise, Alabama; Destin, Florida; Panama City, Florida, and surrounding areas to get the best possible results from cosmetic treatments.

Dr. Feagin and Dr. Owen put their full skills, experience, and training at the service of every patient, so you know that you can trust them to give you the treatment that is right for your cosmetic goals and personal situation.
